Winter Family Weekend was full of fun, excitement, and good times. From the All-School gathering on Friday morning to all the athletic events to families reuniting, everyone would call the weekend a complete success.
The weekend kicked off Friday morning with an All-School Gathering where students, parents, and faculty came together to hear our student body president, Jack Benavides ‘26, as well as many others. There were also many wonderful performances from the Pre-Conservatory Program, Vocal Performance Program, and more. Davis Damrow ‘26 said, “All the performers did really well and I really loved the choir!”
The Hockey Signature Program put on a show going almost perfect, with 17 wins and only 1 loss. Boys Prep and Girls U19 also hosted their senior nights. Boys Prep got the honor of wearing the historic Maroon SSM Alumni jerseys. The jerseys represent the history of the hockey program as well as the incredible people and players who left SSM better than they found it. Defenseman Luke Host ‘27 said this about the jerseys, “It was an honor to wear the jerseys, carry on the legacy of those who came before us, and win for our program and alumni.”
The Soccer Signature Program was able to keep the winning spirit alive going 4-1.
Along with the wins and stunning performances, everyone can agree the highlight of the weekend (for those whose parents visited) was being able to reunite with their parents, siblings, and other loved ones. And that’s what Winter Family Weekend is truly about.
